Original assignment
We bought Peppa a couple years ago as a puppy. She was a very rambunctious puppy and was always getting into mischief. I had come home one morning after working the nightshift and the routine is that I let the the dog out whenever I come home while my wife gets ready for work. This one morning I come home and the let the puppy outside like usual.
I go about my business and say hello to my wife and let her know I was home. I look out of the window to check on the puppy and I couldn’t see her. So I go outside and I still couldn’t see her. I start calling her name and there was no response. I go into the middle of the backyard and don’t see her at all. I start to panic.
I start frantically yelling her name multiple times with no response. We are surrounded by trees on all sides in the backyard so I was beginning to think the worst was going to happen; we weren’t going to see this puppy ever again and how my wife was going to react when I told her Peppa escaped. I keep calling her name and checking the fence for any gaps or holes to figure out how she could have escaped. All of a sudden I see something white and black moving around in the woods. Lo and behold, here comes Peppa casually strolling towards me out of the woods without a care in the world. I pick her up over the fence and carry her inside. Turns out that she was able to push herself underneath of the fence we had and bend it just enough to let her little self out. She’s too big to do that now but we still keep an eye on her when she plays outside for a while. They aren’t lying when they say huskies are escape artists. I love my dogs but 10/10 would not recommend getting a husky ever again.
